Well known ‘Northern districts Horsewoman’
Nell Begg nee Mckay b. Feb 1928 d. April 2019, Daughter of the Late Matilda & Clyde McKay of Strathalbyn.
Raised by her Uncle and Aunt Hugh & Nell Farrell at ‘Broadview’ near Quorn, along with their 4 children Les, Jean, Marg & Eileen.
Selected to stand in for Maureen O’hara in Australia’s first Hollywood Movie ‘Kangaroo’ filmed near Port Augusta in 1950. Nell married the late Brian Begg and leaves 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral to be held on 31st May, 11am, North Road Cemetery Chapel.
Drinks provided for attendees immediately after at the Windmill Hotel main North Rd, Nailsworth lunch available.
