Rotary Club of Alice Springs D9500 Called to higher service Ernie (Ernest William) Richards Birth: Wednesday, 16/08/1939, Oakland California, USA Death: Monday, 19/02/2018, at home in Alice Springs Northern Territory, Australia Ernie was inducted into The Rotary Club of Alice Springs on 26th July 1991. He served as Treasurer of the club and of the Rotary Education Fund which, during Ernie's tenure, had a very impressive growth. He was recognised, in 2009, as a Henley Hero for his long association with the iconic Henley-On-Todd 'Regatta'. He is also recognised with a Paul Harris Fellowship (three rubies) for his service to Rotary. He died peacefully at home after a short illness. 1977...
