Brian Douglas Thomson 29.3.1940 2.6.2018 Brian was the inaugural President of the Top End Road Racing Association for the first two years in the late 80 s and a TERRA life member. During his time, Brian campaigned for many years for motorcycle road racing, & prior to Hidden Valley being constructed, researched alternate venues such as the disused Hayes Airstrip past Noonamah & various public road circuits. Even with his health issues he put in many hours in the early days of TERRA to ensure club morale was high & members were kept up to date on circuit progress even though there was no completed circuit in the early days of his Presidency. Brian was instrumental in setting up road racing in Darwin. Road racing in The Territory wouldn t be what it is today without Brian s hard work. His work for the club will be remembered by all TERRA members. 1999...
