Girls’ Brigade as we know it today was formed on 10th June 1965 following the amalgamation of The Girls’ Brigade (founded in Ireland in 1893), The Girls’ Guildry (founded in Scotland in 1900) and The Girls’ Life Brigade (founded in England in 1902).
