I ATTENDED the super school meeting and can testify that parents, possibly of both schools, were upset because there were no prior discussions before the merging decision was made.

At no stage did I feel any racial undertones, just a sense of loss.

At the end of the meeting the area director thanked attendees for their courtesy, which of course was not reported.
