That was the cry from residents after news Noosa Civic management had applied for an extension to the centre.
The Queensland Investment Corporation has lodged the development application for the Civic that includes proposals for two supermarkets, a discount department store and other speciality shops.
Noosa Junction could be facing a $5 million hit to its retail bottom line through the possible loss of its local Target Country according to council planning staff assessing the Noosa Civic expansion application.
Consultants as part of the retail needs response to Noosa Council have addressed the information request that includes the possible relocation off a fully-fledged Target to the Civic.
In an online poll on the Daily's website, 83% of respondents said they would love to see another major retailer at Noosa Civic.

Megs Heiniger: Kmart would be great then wouldn't have to go to Maroochydore
Kristian Ravest: Kmart, would be great too!! Myer, David Jones, Culture kings, I hate driving to Maroochydore plaza!
Michelle Champion: Yay! Good riddance to Target Country. A larger Target is what Noosa needs. A Best & Less would be perfect to go into the Target Country space.
Pamela McInnarney: I think Noosa Civic is big enough. Twenty minutes down the Coast and there are all the big malls and chain stores. Noosa Junction needs to reinvent itself and it also needs to be cleaned and refreshed.
Chris Mitchell-Clare: Would love to see a Zing Store (Like EBGames but Collectables focused) there as well as Kmart and a larger Target like Maroochydore.
Al Peck: Jb Hifi, Kmart, Bigger target.
Courtney Pickering: About time put in a Kmart and best and less as well. Not everyone can afford to go to the high end boutiques and travel to Maroochydore.
