Yenda craft beer tees up PGA partnership
AUSTRALIAN golf fans will toast the Australian PGA Championship winner with a local brew this year, thanks to a new partnership with the maker of the award-winning craft beer, Yenda.
Named after its hometown in the New South Wales Riverina, Yenda was named as the new official beer of the 2016 Australian PGA Championship, with Pressman's Cider signing on as official cider.
It's part of a new three-year agreement between the PGA of Australia and local brewery Australian Beer Company that will see both brands delivering much-needed refreshment to spectators at this year's Australian PGA Championship being held at RACV Royal Pines Resort from December 1-4.
PGA Australia CEO Brian Thorburn said the championship was a celebration of golf and was proud to partner with Yenda.
"While we will be watching to see who collects the Joe Kirkwood Cup, Yenda and Pressman's have already collected some silverware of their own," Brian said.
"They're clearly talented up-and-coming Aussies and we're delighted to welcome them to our team."
The Australian PGA Championship is on at RACV Royal Pines Resort from December 1-4.
Local hero and World Number 6 Adam Scott will headline a stellar list of Australian and international players from all over the globe.
The 2016 tournament will feature an array of entertainment on and off the course, but it's the Soniq Million Dollar Hole where the tournament really comes alive.
A festival of golf the Australian PGA Championship week includes the Cobra Puma Orange Crush Kids Day, Greg Norman Medal and Summer Soiree and the Aussie PGA.
