OOPS: Woman marries her millionaire grandfather

A BRIDE who thought she'd hit the jackpot when she married a millionaire has been left stunned after learning that her new husband is actually her biological grandfather.

The 24-year-old woman married a 68-year-old Miami lottery millionaire after meeting through a dating website.

Three months into their union, while looking through his family photo album, the bride noticed a familiar face among the family members: Her father's.

Speaking to the Florida Sun Post, she said: "When I saw my father in that photo album, I just felt an overwhelming sense of despair."

The Miami beach pair, who wish to remain anonymous, had only ever briefly discussed their family backgrounds:

He had become estranged from his first family decades earlier, losing contact with his children, including her father.

She had been kicked out by her father - his son - after falling pregnant while at high school.

He had since remarried and had more children, but that marriage ended in 2009 and left him struggling financially.

Luck came his way when he won several million dollars on his Powerball syndicate numbers and, at 68, he signed up to a website for older men looking for a special someone.

He told the Florida Sun Post that the website had profiles of many attractive younger girls. But of the woman who would become his bride he said, "I just felt something strange when I saw her photos.

"It was like a sense of déjà vu, but at the same time I just couldn't work out why she seemed so familiar.

"We just hit it off from when she walked into the restaurant."

Despite the bizarre discovery the couple say they have no plans for divorce.

The bride said "I feel our bond is so strong that even something like this is not enough to make us give up."

Working as an exotic dancer to support her child, she signed on to the dating agency where she would later meet her own grandfather.

He added "I've already had two failed marriages and I'm determined not to have a third."
