WHAT’S ON: Mary Poppins Festival fun in Maryborough

ONE of the most beloved children's stories in modern history will be celebrated throughout the next fortnight at the Mary Poppins Festival.

Kicking off on Friday June 25, there is a two-week program with everything from music concerts to supercalifragilisticex pialidocious pop-up performances and creative workshops. Share in the stories of the Heritage City as artists show off their skills with exhibitions including the much-loved Mary Poppins in the Park event next Saturday which will incorporate a colourful range of activities for children and families.

This year, keep an eye out for a delightful new surprise that will pop up outside the Spoon Full of Sugar Café in Cherry Tree Lane (Richmond St).

For those looking to sit back and be entertained, the Backstage Jazz Club with the Jake Bristow Trio, an outdoor movie night and Sian Evans at Gatakers by Night are sure to impress.

The Festival is set to finish on July 10.
