ROCK 'n' roll legends will take centre stage when VIVA Surfers Paradise returns in July for 10 days of free live entertainment to celebrate the legacy of the greatest music visionaries including feature shows by some of the world's best tribute artists. The annual event will see more than 60,000 music fans come together. In 2018 crowd favourites will feature again, including the renewal of vows ceremony officiated by Dean Vegas, and the car show 'n' shine. The event takes place from July 13-22. COME and celebrate the best of French culture for the French national day party. Organised by Voila Events GC in partnership with Bonjour French festival, the Bastille Day dinner and show will be sizzling. features opera, theatre and dancing, the fun night of culture and best food takes place at the Italo-Australian Club, 18 Fairway Drive, Clear Island Waters, on July 14 from 6.30-11.30pm. ROOTS, Boots & Blues is a free exciting new festival happening at the Broadwater Parklands on Saturday, July 14. Acts include 8 Ball Aitken, Lecia Louise, Oz Latin Brothers, Sunsoakers, Mozaic and other blues/roots acts. It is a free family event including six hours of international and local musical artists, dance, international foods, rides, games and song contest. There will be free show bags for kids aged 12 and under for a limited time. From 10am-4pm at Broadwater Parklands, Marine Parade, Southport. More than 20,000 people attended the expo last year and now, in its 16th year, the event will be bigger and better than ever. HOTA and Hit Productions present Around The World in 80 Days, an epic, funny, madcap adaptation of the classic novel by Jules Verne. The story opens in 1872 with a sinister robbery taking place. Our hero Phileas Fogg unexpectedly places a wager of 20,000 pounds with fellow members of a London gentlemen's club that he can travel the world in a mere 80 days, and he suddenly leaves the country.
