CHRISTMAS IN SURFERS
EXPERIENCE the sun-drenched magic of a quintessentially Australian Christmas in Surfers Paradise. Santa dons boardies and arrives in a surfboat sleigh drawn by kangaroos to spread festive cheer to families and visitors throughout the world-famous holiday precinct. Christmas in Surfers Paradise brings a new dimension of summer sparkle to traditional festivities with a free, family-friendly entertainment spectacular, culminating in Carols on the Beach on Saturday, December 23. Surfers Paradise will be transformed into an Aussie-style festive wonderland by the shore, as Cavill Mall becomes home to Santa's summer grotto and families can pose for free keepsake photos in the surfboat sleigh, while kids can share their Christmas wish lists. Santa will be in his grotto from December 13 to 22, 10am-1pm and 4-7pm, December 23 from 10am-1pm, and December 24 from 10am-1pm and 4-7pm.

THIS is a community celebration of Christmas for everyone at Bischoff Pioneer Park and Nerang Street, Nerang on Saturday, December 16 from 3-8.30pm. The afternoon entertainment program will feature local artists and school bands, while the evening program includes traditional carols and a visit from Santa. SURFERS Paradise will go off with a bang this New Year's Eve, as the renowned holiday playground gets set to host a colourful carnival of rides and attractions for all ages, as the fun-filled New Year's Carnival culminates in three spectacular fireworks displays on December 31, lighting up the skies over the ocean. The New Year's Carnival will see thousands of families and visitors gather at the iconic foreshore from December 27 to January 1. From 3pm to 9pm, the foreshore will become a kaleidoscope of frivolity with thrilling rides and fun activities for children of all ages, including bungee trampolines, a climbing wall and interactive play zone. AFTER a sell-out performance in the showroom last year, worldwide hit The Michael Jackson History Show is returning to The Star Gold Coast from December 29 for a limited run of three shows, including a big celebration show on New Year's Eve. The spectacular stage show and tribute will again celebrate the music and artistry of Michael Jackson with two hours of hits brought to life by star Dantanio, plus a six-piece live band, choreographed dancers, authentic costumes, big sets and state-of-the-art concert production. COMING into Fashion: A Century of Photography at Condé Nast celebrates some of the most iconic images from the past century of fashion. Conde Nast, the powerhouse publisher of Vogue, Vanity Fair and Glamour, has opened its photography archive to the public to create this stunning exhibition. The collection of images, selected by photography curator Nathalie Herschdorfer, shows the sharp contrast in the first fashion photographs from the early 20th century compared to the modern day.
