TOORMINA STORY TIME
GOT the grandkids during the holidays? Don't forget Saturday Storytime provided by the Toormina Library from 10am-11am each Saturday. It is a chance to take the little ones for stories, songs and craft - bookings not necessary.
CHRISTMAS YARN AND YAK
PROVIDED by Harry Bailey Memorial Library on December 4 from 10am to noon. The library welcomes all knitters and crocheters to come together and share their love for the craft at the Christmas Yarn and Yak. COFFS COAST CAROLS
Coffs Harbour City Council's Coffs Coast Carols by Candlelight will bring together the whole community to celebrate Christmas in a family-friendly environment at Brelsford Park in the heart of the city. From 6pm to 10pm on December 15, the carols will be a spectacular evening of song, entertainment, food, fireworks and lots of fun for all. There will be a variety of food and drink options available including sausage sizzles plus children's activities and rides to keep them entertained until the much anticipated arrival of Santa. Bring a picnic blanket, your family and your friends.
A TASTE OF IRISH CHRISTMAS
A TASTE of Irish Christmas hits the stage at Yamba Bowling Club on December 5 from 8pm to 10pm and featuring stars directly from London's West End. Immerse yourself in an authentic Celtic experience by laughing, clapping and singing along to the story of two star crossed lovers who dance beneath the mistletoe.
DECEMBER WEEKEND OF ROWING
THE Clarence River will come alive with boats, competitors and officials when the river's two major rowing regattas are held at Memorial Park in Grafton on December 8 and 9. The Head of the Clarence River Regatta is expected to draw a large number of schools to compete. On Sunday, the Grafton Rowing Club's annual regatta will be held, with the majority of teams staying over to compete, plus the addition of the North Coast's many master competitors.
YAMBA HANDMADE CHRISTMAS MARKETS
WATCH out for the Yamba Handmade Christmas Market on December 22 from 9am to 2pm at 78 Angourie Rd, Yamba. Come and join them for their last and biggest market for 2018. Support small and local businesses. Lots of Christmas gift ideas. Shop from baby, candles, artwork, jewellery, natural body products and so much more. Free face painting. Live music. Over 70 amazing stalls. Food and coffee available
THE last Illuka Market of the year will be held on December 2 at the Iluka Sports Ground. Run on the first Sunday of the month and set amongst the trees on the Iluka Sports Ground, the Iluka Markets include locally inspired art, original craft and woodwork, handmade jewellery, locally produced soaps, cakes and preserves - the list goes on with this growing market, only 12 minutes off the Pacific Highway.
YAMBA PRODUCE MARKETS
A FEW years ago the seaside village of Yamba in Northern NSW was voted by the Australian Traveller Magazine the Best Town In Australia. Not a whole lot has changed except the introduction of the Yamba Farmers and Producers Market located at the Whiting Beach carpark each week. The market also acts as the agri-food tourism portal for the Clarence Valley region.
CAROLS URUNGA BY THE RIVER
THE annual Urunga by the River markets will be held on December 22 from 5pm to 9.30pm at the Morgo St Reserve. This is a free community family event of relaxing, singing and watching the magnificent fireworks at 9pm. Carols Urunga now attracts an audience of some 5000 and is staged in the beautiful natural amphitheatre of Urunga's Morgo Street Reserve, with a stunning twin-river-view backdrop. Join in with the community carols.
CCP CHRISTMAS VARIETY SHOW
HOPE you can come along to our Christmas Show at four Coffs Coast clubs in December. All shows are matinees. It's only $15 a ticket and $3 from every ticket sold will be donated to local charities CanTeen, RSPCA, Lifeline and The Smith Family. Dates are: Sat December at 2pm - C.ex Coffs; Sat December 15 at 2pm - Woolgoolga Diggers Club; Sun December 16 at 2pm - Nambucca Bowls Club; Sat December 22 at 2pm - Sawtell RSL Club.
