Photo of the Day: Dawn fishing at Tallow Beach

Tight lines from Tallow Beach.
Tight lines from Tallow Beach. Sandra Cochrane

WE had another fantastic selection of images yesterday and another tight vote, with the main choices boiling down to this image by Sandra Cochrane and a 2am shot of North Wall by Steve Parmenter.

In the end, Sandra's dawn picture of an angler at Tallow Beach received the highest vote.

All up, a total 42% of participants in yesterday's poll chose Sandra's picture as their favourite, while 40% chose Steve's image.

Photo of the Day celebrates the beauty of the Northern Rivers and the talent of its people.

As well as appearing here, it is published on our website and appears as the cover image on our Facebook page. To contribute to Photo of the Day, share an image to our Facebook page or vote in the poll below.

It's time to make some hard decisions again. We have seven fantastic submissions for tomorrow's and Monday's photos of the day. Happily, as we're choosing two images, everyone gets two votes.

A special shout-out to 14-year-old Ellie Cameron, who submitted this brilliant shot of the September's last sunset. It's nice to see so much talent in one so young.

Voting closes at noon.
