Volunteers thanked during special week

THE Blackall Range Care Group hosted a "thank-you morning tea" in Maleny last Tuesday for National Volunteer Week.

The event in The Verandah Room at Maleny Community Centre served to recognise and celebrate the wonderful support of all the group's valued volunteers across the Range.

In particular, the dedication of Lloyd and Shirley Larney was highlighted - a couple who have delivered for Meals On Wheels in Maleny for almost 30 years and are now retiring from their volunteer roles.

The Blackall Range Care Group management committee president Ann Koenig is pictured above, congratulating the Larneys on their commitment.
