Tweed Heads businesses invited to ‘Go and Grow Online’

LOCAL Tweed Heads businesses are invited to take a digital step forward and learn how to grow their businesses online at Australia Post's Go and Grow Online workshop next Thursday.

Hosted by Australia Post, with a presentation on the night from Google, the evening will give locals the chance to learn first-hand how a simple online presence can help grow their business, both here and overseas.

Digital Marketing Strategist Matthew Knighton said the event would cover something for everyone from micro-business just starting out to those already operating their online store.

"This event is a great opportunity to show local business owners how they can better use technology including tools like Google My Business to extend their online presence, generate new enquiries and grow their businesses online," he said.

"A majority of small business owners don't have the resources or time to take a good look at eCommerce and all its possibilities. This is an easy way to come along and find out the latest technology and trends that Google offers and learn practical skills on how to improve your online marketing."

Head of Category, Online Selling at Australia Post Rohin Aggarwal said a key focus was helping local business expand their market reach and exposure online.

"Go and Grow Online is all about empowering local Tweed Heads businesses to tap in to the huge opportunities available in eCommerce," Mr Aggarwal said.

"This includes everything from establishing social media profiles, to setting up your own website or even partnering with Australia Post to learn how to sell into international markets.

"We are proud to be working with Google to provide local businesses with insider knowledge and a better understanding of how the boom in online shopping can help them."

Go and Grow Online is being held at the Mantra Twin Towns (Visions Room), corner Griffith Street (Coolangatta, Qld) and Wharf Street (Tweed Heads, NSW), Tweed Heads from 5.45pm on Thursday, May 26.

To reserve your free seat, please visit your local Australia Post outlet at Shop 47, 20 Wharf Street, Tweed Heads or email
