TRUCK DRIVERS ONLY: Unlikely Puma heroes on truckie's side

IN A WORLD where it seems other motorists don't have any regard for the work that truck drivers do day in and day out, Puma Energy Australia staff have emerged as unlikely heroes.

After being tipped off by some truckies who pass through the Puma Kempsey fuel station in New South Wales, we found out that campers were taking advantage of the truckie-only areas.

But rather than let the rude behaviour continue, staff at Puma Kemspey acted quickly to rectify the issue.

A Puma Energy Australia spokesperson told Big Rigs many campers staying at the site were obstructing truck drivers from being able to access its state-of-the-art truckers lounge and truck parking.

"We placed flyers on the windscreens of campers' vehicles and posted notices around the site to ensure they can conduct their job safely," the spokesperson said.

"Puma Energy Australia cares about providing high-quality facilities and excellent services to all travellers, and especially to Australia's truck drivers who require regular rest and breaks to ensure they can conduct their job safely.

"We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our customers for their patience while we resolved this situation."
