TripAdvisor followers vote Kings Beach into prestigious list
CALOUNDRA'S Kings Beach has been included for the first time in TripAdvisor's list of Top 25 Beaches in Australia.
Its No.18 spot on the respected travel advisory website's list marks an auspicious milestone and cements Kings Beach as an outstanding beach destination.
Caloundra Tourism manager Jane Chapman is excited about Kings Beach's entrance into the prestigious list.
"Making it on to TripAdvisor's Top 25 list of Australia's best beaches is a great result not only for Caloundra Tourism but for Visit Sunshine Coast and Sunshine Coast Council, too," she said.
"What makes the entry so special is that the list is voted for by the public and is therefore a reflection of their opinions.
"The results indicate that visitors love Kings Beach and are happy to recommend a holiday here to their peers."
The victory isn't the first for this family-favourite patrolled surf beach.
In 2015, Surf Life Saving Queensland voted Kings Beach the state's top spot to cool down.
Facilities, cleanliness, coastal conditions and family friendliness all played a role in that selection decision.
Kings Beach wasn't the only Sunshine Coast beach to make it into the TripAdvisor list.
Noosa Main Beach and Mooloolaba Beach both returned to the top 10, coming in 3rd and 8th respectively.
"Having three beaches feature in Australia's Top 25 list sends out a positive message about the beauty, diversity, quality and facilities of our Sunshine Coast beaches," Ms Chapman said.
"Featuring Kings Beach alongside the likes of Noosa and Mooloolaba shows the world that Caloundra's favourite family beach is not only on the rise but has so much to offer visitors to the Sunshine Coast.
"Watch this space. Top 10, here we come."
