Nippy Skippy kangaroo explores snow near Blue Mountains
ABOUT 80 people have been rescued as busloads of tourists became trapped during heavy snow near the Blue Mountains in New South Wales.
Jenolan Caves marketing co-ordinator Carolyn Melbourne said dozens of people were escorted to safety including her co-worker, cave guide Scott Moores.
"It was like a storm of chook feathers," she said.

"Snow was bucketing down in great, big flakes, and it was just beautiful. I stood there in the middle of the intersection getting covered in snowflakes, thinking I will never see anything as beautiful as this again in my life."
Ms Melbourne snapped dozens of photos, including shots of chilly-footed kangaroos enjoying the change of scenery.
NSW State Emergency Services has issued a warning for drivers to take extra care on the roads.

Sydney is expected to endure three days of rain, easing to overcast on Saturday before setting back in on Sunday.
