Toowoomba artist creates own Monet's garden series
TOOWOOMBA artist Di Elsden is keeping the Carnival of Flowers spirit alive with her latest exhibition at Tosari Galleries.
In the world of gardening pilgrimages, Claude Monet's garden at Giverny rules supreme.
Using flowers as paints and the landscape as canvas, Giverny is the ultimate destination for artists with a passion for flowers and gardens.
Ms Elsden, an artist-in-residence at the galleries, made the pilgrimage in 2013.
On her return, she was equally inspired by the stunning scenery on her doorstep.
For three years Ms Elsden has been working on her Monet's garden series.
Tosari Galleries is at 4 Tourist Rd and open Tuesday to Friday, 10am-5pm.
