Time to Grow’ the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show

THE Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society presents the 111th Show in a matter of weeks and excitement is building across the coast with the final program preparations bedded down on its 2016 theme of 'Time to Grow'.

Show President, Cr. Jenny McKay said, "We're thrilled to offer a fresh new program; we're in our 111th year and going strong. Last year we honoured the Show's history but 2016 is about looking to our bright future alongside the farmers, producers and all components of the agricultural industry servicing our Sunshine Coast".

Pineapples and sunflowers can be seen emblazoned on the backs of buses and across shopping centre posters at Sunshine Plaza, Nambour Plaza and Kawana Shoppingworld and soon the radio and tv campaigns will start with media partners Channel 7, who will do a nightly arena mini-feature film and 92.7 MX FM's  Van Diesel providing another fun-filled appearance in an outdoor broadcast with Todd and Sami.

Sunshine Coast Show Manager, Lucinda Tutt, proudly lists the components of the new show program which will soon be available on the website. Lucinda says, "This year we introduce what will be a crowd  favourite in the fun, mini racing pigs and a fireworks and laser arena spectacular for all ages. There's also a feature skate comp. and freestyle motorbikes as well as creatures great and small along with our core components of show bags, fireworks, side show alley, pavilion displays, you name it".

Ms. Tutt went on to say, "There's something for everyone in this new program from a free young farmers food  farm to  fabulous food selections,  installations and the new 'Fashion and Fibre Finery' section which will be launched at the pre-show event of the Cocktail Soiree on June 4 from 6pm at Nambour Showgrounds.
