Tim Mander MP invites seniors to Parliament House

MEMBER for Everton, Tim Mander has invited residents to attend the first of three concerts this year that bring both young and old to Parliament House.

Since 2012, concerts have been hosted by the Speaker of the House aiming to provide entertainment to our seniors, performance opportunities for Queensland's school students and to bring the Parliament to the people.

Mr Mander said that students from four schools across Brisbane will perform at the concert.

"This is a great opportunity to visit Parliament House and have morning tea whilst listening to local school ensembles.

"I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity or if you are looking for a great Mother's Day gift, I can recommend this as a great outing."

The concert will be held at Parliament House on Wednesday 18 May from 10:00am - 12:00pm.

The event costs $14 - the price of the morning tea.

Tickets can be purchased at any state MP's office until 13 May 2016.  Call 3535 1100 with any enquiries.
