Three Toowoomba JP's awarded for contribution

MEMBER for Toowoomba North, Trevor Watts presented three local Justices' of the Peace with a Commemorative Certificate to thank them for a combined 75 years of service in their respective roles as a Justice of the Peace for the State of Queensland.

Following a career in administration at 7SD, Margaret Weise was presented with her 25 years of service Commemorative Certificate.

After many years of service to the banking industry throughout regional Queensland Ken Stoodley received his 25 years of service Commemorative Certificate as a Justice of the Peace.

Kate Klan was also presented with her 25 years of service Commemorative Certificate following many years of work in administration and as a regular volunteer offering her services as a Justice of the Peace at Clifford Gardens shopping centre.

"It is a long standing achievement to serve the community as a JP for 25 years and I congratulate and thank Margaret, Ken and Kate for their invaluable time and commitment to this very important community role," said Mr Watts.

"Without the services of JP's and C.decs, our justice system would grind to a halt.

It is indeed a great honour for me to present Commemorative Certificates to these outstanding individuals all of whom have given so selflessly of their time to the community," Mr Watts said.
