NEARLY 7000 Australian World War II veterans have been photographed for the Australian War Memorial exhibition Reflections - Honouring Australian Second World War Veterans.

These are just some of the faces captured - of our everyday heroes, men and women who fought for freedom. The years may have wearied those faces, but their pride still shines through.

The memorial project spanned 205 to 2017 during which 450 Australian Institute of accredited photographers photographed the faces of WWII veterans for the digital exhibition.
