The Walking Dead S6E04 review: Here’s Not Here
*warning: spoilers lie ahead if you haven't finished season six, episode four*
REVIEW: Now we know how the Morgan we knew became the Morgan we know.
Lennie James' character evolved from a man too far gone in season three to an expert combatant with a staff.
For the first three episodes of this season we were left to ponder how he transformed, but all of our questions were answered in this week's 90-minute episode.
Morgan was, for the most part, a man who was so far gone he begged whoever would listen to kill him.
In his madness he killed two men, and when stalking a third was taken down by a vicious strike.
The man known only as Eastman (John Carroll Lynch) provided the perfect foil for the development of Morgan's character.
Eastman quickly became one of the most beloved characters.

His views on life and willingness to forgive were enough to save Morgan, but not before Morgan tried to kill him.
Morgan eventually came around, and in his time with Eastman found his purpose: his reason to live and forgive.
Eastman, and his pet goat Tabitha, both found their untimely demise, though it did serve to act as Morgan's rebirth.
We rejoined Morgan in the present day, where it was revealed he told the story to one of the Wolves.

The Wolf reveals a wound, and promises to kill everyone in town if he doesn't die because "those are the rules".
Morgan's decision to lock him the door behind him and keep him a prisoner could come back to haunt the town.
This season's time-shifting came into play in the final scene when Morgan reached the road, with Rick's voice yelling to "let them in".
We can only assume this scene happens after the events of last week, meaning Rick *somehow* survives his situation in the RV.
