THE man The New York Times described as the greatest living
THE man The New York Times described as the greatest living interpreter of Groucho Marx - Frank Ferrante - is coming to Australia for a nine-week tour starting on the Sunshine Coast this weekend.
Handpicked by Arthur Marx 30 years ago to portray his father, Ferrante is nearing 3000 performances from Broadway to the West End (including a Laurence Olivier nomination).
Groucho's daughter Miriam Marx Allen was moved to say that "Frank doesn't just do Groucho ... he is Groucho".
Ferrante's An Evening With Groucho will play Pomona's Majestic Theatre tonight at 8pm (www.themajestictheatre.com.au) and Maleny Community Centre tomorrow at 2pm (www.malenycommunitycentre.org).
