COULD this be the world's most gruesome, heart-stopping cake ever created?
A bakery cooked up more than a few heart palpitations after designing a cake in the shape of an anatomically-correct human heart for a local surgeon's birthday in New York.
Deviant Desserts were extremely thorough with their design - the cake a near-perfect replica which included mixed berry blood pumping out of the arteries!

And while many of us may not have had the heart, or stomach, to take a slice, the birthday boy seemed to have no qualms.
In a video posted to Facebook, the surgeon takes a large spoon of the fake blood and gulps it down with a smile.
"This is amazing ... let's sample this," he says to the camera.
The video has since been viewed over 7,000 times.
