Sunshine Coast Inspiring Women recognised at Awards Dinner

Four Inspiring Sunshine Coast Women will be recognised as Award Winners at a glittering Gala Dinner this week.

Founder of the Sunshine Coast Inspiring Women Awards Fiona Simpson MP will present the awards recognising the many exceptional women who make a difference in our local community.

The Gala Dinner event to honour the Inspiring Women has been possible thanks to the generous support of Event Sponsors Inspire Connecting Communities and Volunteering Sunshine Coast and a host of local companies who have sponsored the Awards.

Awards Patron and Founder Fiona Simpson MP will announce the winners of the inaugural Sunshine Coast Inspiring Women Awards at a Gala Dinner to be held at Lake Kawana Community Centre of Friday 26 February. Ms Simpson said the winners of four awards were selected from over 100 nominations.

"The Sunshine Coast is blessed to have such a dynamic group of women who are dedicated to investing into others and strengthening our local community," Ms Simpson said.

"In the lead up to International Women's Day, I am delighted to see the unsung heroines of the Sunshine Coast recognised for the amazing contribution they make to our lives.

Special guests at the Gala Dinner will be the 23 Inspiring Women Finalists who will be waiting to see if their name will be announced:

Community Leadership Award - sponsored by Think Money: Angela Miles, Berenice Pembleton, Carmel Crouch, Kaitlyn Akers, Kay Maclean, Maya Gurry, Rachel Witton, Rebecca Grisman, Ros Freemantle.

"I especially want to thank Sue Frost of Inspire Connecting Communities for all the hard work she has put in to make this event such a special occasion for the Inspiring Women Finalists."
