READER'S VIEW: Some politicians believe they’re beyond blame

ALL political parties have had some of their members abuse taxpayers' money for as long as I can remember, and when they are caught out they pay back what was misappropriated and then apologise for their little indiscretion and expect the Australian taxpayer to believe that they are genuinely sorry.

Not for mine.

I have had enough of all the lies and broken promises from both sides of government and I truly believe that they are only interested in self promotion and looking after their own future while in these positions of trust.

With the benefits that are at their disposal when in power, it means that they never have to touch any of their over-the-top wages when somebody else is wearing the cost for them.

I could use many a word or words to describe some of these so-called pillars of society, but it would do no good as they think that they are beyond reproach and do not have to answer to anyone for their actions.

Even now, all will be checking their expenses so as not to be named when and if the proposed inquiry by Abbott is finalised.
