Snezana favourite to win The Bachelor after Heather's exit

SINGLE mum Snezana Markoski is now the favourite to win The Bachelor's heart after Heather Maltman's controversial elimination last night.

The 'love leaderboard' on the show's official website currently has Markoski at 44 percent of the fan vote, closely followed by Sarah Mackay on 41 percent.

While viewers were baffled by Wood's decision to "friend zone" Maltman, they clearly don't think he'll go on out a limb and choose intruder Lana Jeavons-Fllows, who is on just 15 percent.

Last night's much-talked-about episode saw Wood meet the families of the four women, including Markoski's nine-year-old daughter Eve.

Wednesday's evictee Nina Rolleston agrees with viewers, tipping Snez as The Bachelor's match.

"I've always thought Sam and Snez has something pretty amazing, and I still to this day think that," she told APN.

"She let him know on their very first chat she's a single mum, so for her to get to this point he's done a lot of soul searching. He's a really smart guy. If he knew he couldn't do the potential step dad thing then he wouldn't have kept her away from (her daughter) Eve for that long."

Maltman, though, backs Mackay, a 26-year-old events manager from Melbourne, where Wood also lives.

"I love all three of those girls equally," she said.

"They've all got their own enigmatic, special quality. I do feel like Sarah is my spirit animal, so I want him to want to be with her because she's an incredible human being.

"If he doesn't end up choosing her, well then she better look out because she's an incredible catch."

Host Osher Gunsberg revealed Maltman was a favourite amongst the crew as well.

"She's like a favourite for everyone. I think I want to be friends with her," he said.

Gunsberg wouldn't give any clues as to who will win the reality dating show.

"I can't make a pick; whatever I say you'll analyse," he laughed.

"I'll obliquely say, clearly Sam sees something in each of them that he is very interested in, and is keen to explore."

The final two episodes of The Bachelor air Wednesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
