Snap a shot for the good of Queensland

SHOW off your skill and use your enjoyment of photography to enter a worthy competition where your contribution will help highlight important issues affecting Queenslanders.

As you venture out to discover Australia, while enjoying the many Queensland experiences, why not look for one that you can share as part of the Queensland Community Foundation's 2018 Philanthropy in Focus Photo Challenge.

If you aren't travelling this year, you can still be a part of the competition by submitting a photo taken within the last two years.

There is a prize of a $500 gift voucher for the winner and $2000 for their nominated charity.

QCF are looking for photos that achieve an emotional impact by capturing moments of kindness, generosity, compassion, thoughtfulness or giving - by an individual or non-profit organisation.

The Queensland competition is open to amateurs and professionals who may want to collaborate with a non-profit organisation. This could be a great chance for you to bring your favourite community organisation into focus through this exciting competition.

All entries will be judged on originality, innovative and compelling storytelling, relevance in portraying the issues, visual impact (composition, emotional impact) and technical execution (focus, exposure).

Entries close on April 27 and the winners will be announced at the end of the QCF Philanthropy Week on June 15.

To find out more about the competition including conditions of entry, go to www.qcf.org.au.

QCF is a charitable trust. It is state leader in promoting philanthropy and creates opportunities for non-profits to grow in the quest to deliver quality effective community services.
