WHAT do you listen to when you feel anxious or stressed?

A little classical? Some Enya perhaps? Maybe you're comfortable with the soothing sounds of nature, like rain in the jungle or whale songs from deep in the ocean?

But what if you were a cat? What then?

Well, RSPCA NSW has considered this and released the No.1 song to calm shelter cats and kittens - 'I Need You (Cat Mode)'.

"The track is specifically designed to calm cats and kittens," the organisation said.

The song combines orchestral music with sounds likely to perk the ears of any feline - a cat's meow, birds chirping etc - over the top of a cat purring as a backing track.

But while the song may soothe your furry friend, the film clip may cause some whiskers to curl with the slow-motion video staggering through a strange set of shots including a fake cat spinning on a rotating platform.
