ROLLING COVERAGE: Fairfax candidates debate in Buderim today
CANDIDATES for the Federal seat of Fairfax are in Buderim this morning to outline their policies in a debate at the Men's Shed.
The Shed organised the special event to help its over 200 members decide their votes prior to the federal election on July 2.
There are eight candidates vying for the seat of Fairfax, which spans 1036km of the Sunshine Coast including Maroochydore, Buderim, Nambour, Coolum Beach, and Bli Bli.
All candidates, including the LNP's Ted O'Brien, who in 2013 was pipped at the post by Clive Palmer on less than 100 votes after preferences, are invited to the event.
Clive Palmer is not running in this election.
Scott Anderson from the ALP, Susan Etheridge from The Greens, David Rees from Family First, Independents Keith Alexander Campbell and Robert Dickson, Kris Bullen from Online Direct Democracy, and Robert Pasquali from One Nation are also contesting the seat.
The debate is closed to the public, but the Sunshine Coast Daily will be providing rolling coverage via its Twitter feed.
