READERS DISCUSS: Rocky CBD laneways come alive regularly

THE Rockhampton River Festival was a huge success and generated plenty of community conversation regarding what can be done to liven up Rockhampton's CBD.

We asked our online readers what they thought of the event and whether similar events should be held regularly to make use of Rockhampton's historic laneways.

Kylie Walker: Fantastic! Would be great to see it an annual event. There is already the Luna markets bi-monthly.

Eddie Doherty: Something more permanent is needed to make best use of that great location. Permanently close that section for entertainment, markets, dining.

Jamie Potter: Let's bring the people back to the city. Watch the city come alive with culture and unique events such as this! This would be amazing! Markets, buskers, food, music, magic!
