REVEALED: 13 beaches where dogs are allowed off leash

POOCHES may be banned from Mooloolaba, but there are still beaches on the Sunshine Coast where they can wander free.

Here's the list of dog off-leash beaches where they can have a run without risking a fine:


Buddina Foreshore Reserve: Eastern side of Point Cartwright headland, south to Gulai St beach access.

Buddina Beach: Mawarra Ave to Talinga St.

Coolum Beach: Northern end from the caravan park extending 1km north of Stumers Creek.

Currimundi Beach: Poatini St, Wurtulla to Currimundi Creek, Currimundi.

North Shore Beach, Twin Waters: Between the low water mark extending from the Maroochy River to 500 metres south of the flagged swimming area at Twin Waters.

Shelly Beach (at certain times): Russell St to Victoria Tce.

Town of Seaside Beach: From beach access 97 to 98.

Moffat Beach (at certain times): Coorara St, Dicky Beach to Russel St, Shelly Beach.

Wurtulla Beach: Malog St, Kawana to Wurley Dr, Wurtulla.


Boreen Point: A section along Urunga Pde.

Marcus Beach: Dogs are allowed on a long section of beach here.

Noosa Spit: Pups are allowed on a small section near the river, not on the beach front.

Sunshine Beach North: From entry point 27.
