Relive Andrew Sisters’ wartime hits and charm

SLICK AND SASSY: The Andrew Sisters Tribute Show is coming to Currimundi for Mother’s Day.

THE Andrew Sisters Tribute Show relives one of the bright notes of the Second World War era.

The three sassy divas - Kelsey Giarola, Cherryn Lomas and Anita David - join with The Boogie Beat Band to bring back snappy tunes and happy musical memories for the Sunshine Coast Jazz Club concert. The original Andrew Sisters brought laughter and happiness to many throughout the world.

They were very active in their patriotic duty - singing and dancing and signing autographs for the troops on an eight-week USO tour that saw them perform for thousands of servicemen.

This tribute show is close to the real show all those years ago, bringing back three-part harmony to toe-tapping tunes.

The showcase event is a special Mother's Day treat on May 8 at Currimundi Hotel Motel Function Room.

Doors open at 12.30pm and meals will be available.

The show starts at 2pm.

Book with Carlyn on 5444 7502. Members are $22.50, non-members $30 and seniors and U3A members $25. Pay cash at the door on the Sunday. For info, call Ted on 5491 6017.
