RECALLS: More Aussie cars recalled due to safety problems
MITSUBISHI isn't alone in being forced into recalls, with three more manufacturers making announcements, including one potentially fatal one.
Toyota, Mercedes-Benz and Honda all had recall notices for multiple vehicles posted on the ACCC website yesterday.
Certain Honda models have been recalled due to airbags that may have "over-aggressive combustion" when activated.
"In the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material possible causing serious injury or fatality to vehicle occupants," the ACCC notice said.

"The fuel suction plate located within the fuel tank may develop a crack which could expand over time. In this condition, fuel may eventually leak when the vehicle has a full tank of fuel."
"Fuel or fuel vapour in the presence of an ignition source could increase the risk of a vehicle fire."
The Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 is also being recalled thanks to its engine control unit (ecu) sometimes causing the vehicle to stall at low speeds.
