READER'S VIEW: Messenger gone but the same message
A NEW PM. Can we hope he shows the same dignity and class that Bill Shorten displays, and forgets about acting the clown and waving his arms around in Question Time.
Only last week Abbott called Bill Shorten an assassin.
I feel for him now that he too has been assassinated.
This is the second time Malcolm Turnbull has "stabbed" a colleague in the back; first it was Brendan Nelson, and now tit for tat he did to Tony Abbott exactly what Abbott did to him.
The Liberals made a great deal of the back-stabbing that they blamed Shorten for.
The difference was that Shorten was not acting in self interest as Turnbull was.
The Liberals score in recent back-stabbing is three; Labor's is two.
What a hypocrite Abbott is for calling Shorten out for what he did; the difference being who he was doing it for.
Abbott was only there for Abbott. Turnbull was only there for Turnbull.
I can't see it getting any better. Even though they shot the messenger, the message is still the same.
