THE NAPLAN results have recently been released.
Year 7s are one of the grades that undertake the NAPLAN tests which focus on maths and literacy.
The Bulletin asked readers via Facebook: What subjects should Year 7 students be focused on in school?
Phil Twiner - Spelling, grammar, mathematics, science, physical fitness -- all explicitly explained for their maturity level. All other subjects should be acquired implicitly.
Sylvia M Allen - Make sure they can read write and spell and Maths without a calculator!
Gloria Carige - Ensuring they can read, write, maths, english and history
Ann Armstrong - English and maths.
Naomi Liersch - this is a no brainer: English, Math and lifeskills
