The Bulletin asked readers recently: What is your favourite memory of a grandparent?
Tracy Jaggard - Spending sunday afternoons cooking with my grandfather to refill the cupboard for the school week
Dianne Murphy - Going to bingo, having a small glass of homemade beer, rissoles, pea and ham soup, going to the beach, eating mangos there to many wonderful memories
Fayleen Zemlicoff - Coming home from school to cuddles, fresh pineapples, whiskers and the smell of Wee Willam cigars. To this day, some 40 years since my Grandpa passed, the smell of those cigars always make me smile with beautiful memories of him.
Jodie Chapman - my grannies hugs and pouring a beer for poppy
Renee Cullen - The Lollie cupboard and the big old mango tree I used to climb and best of all the old style cooking love my grans cooking
Amy Shepherd - Sunday roast.
Rosemary Colwell - Having my Nana Sullivan read to me in bed. She'd sing Diddle Diddke My son John. And give me Iced Vo Vo biscuits and if I'd been really good, bon bon lollies from her medicine chest.
