Queen at Windsor Castle revealed on cover of Vanity Fair

HER Majesty, Queensland Elizabeth II has graced the cover of Vanity Fair to mark her 90th birthday. 

The Queen wanted to be photographed with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also requested other portraits with the other members of her family.

The series of photos where taken by contributing phtorgrapher Annie Leibovitz who captured the Queen in quite an intimate setting at her home, Windsor Castle. 

"The most moving, important thing about the shoot where all her ideas," said Leibovitz to Vanity Fair.

"I was told how relaxed she was at Windsor, and it was really true. 

"You get the sense of how at peace she was with herself, and very much enthralled with her family."
