Qld govt misses deadline for Adani deal

The Queensland government has missed a deadline to finalise a royalties agreement with Adani for its contentious Carmichael coal mine.

The Queensland Coordinator-General set September 30 as the deadline but Treasurer Jackie Trad says the deal will take longer to finalise.

However a spokesman for Ms Trad has told the ABC the delay won't hold up construction of the mine.
