AS A member of the silent majority, I've been watching in amazement at the political stunts of the so-called "Peace Convergence" and the self-proclaimed "captain of the Peacebus", Graeme Dunstan.

This lunatic fringe minority group appears hell-bent on forcing their brand of political and religious rhetoric onto the general population via any means possible.

The irony is, the ones they are protesting against are the ones who defend the democracy they enjoy and the freedom of speech they so eagerly exploit.

Trespassing into a live fire training area is both idiotic and irresponsible. Not only do these selfish fools endanger their own lives, they also place at risk the lives of the people who have the duty to find them and save them from their own stupidity.

Mr Dunstan and his entourage would like everyone to believe that they are the quintessential peace activists fighting the "good fight" when in fact they are nothing more than serial criminals who advocate and encourage others to act in the same manner.

Mr Dunstan and his supporters spit in the face of the very freedom and protection this country continues to provide them.

If they had any strength in their religious and political conviction, they would be protesting for peace in northern Iraq and Syria.

I can't imagine that happening any time soon.
