Preparation is in full swing at the Nambour Showgrounds

WITH the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show starting Friday, June 10, preparation is in full swing at the Nambour Showgrounds and here's a glimpse of just some of the latest activities.

Sashed and Crowned

Last Saturday night's Showgirl Soiree saw a sensational sashing ceremony, coordinated by Stacey Breed where the winners were announced for the 2016-17 titles as:- 'Showgirl', Mattea Holiday; 'All-Abilities' Joint Winners, Jess Nielsen and Kie Wilson; and 'Rural Ambassador', Rebecca McCosker. Make sure you say "G'Day" when you spot the title-holders by their sashes at the Show.

'Happy Hours' with reduced ride prices

Sideshow Alley will give Show Patrons an even greater time on Saturday and Sunday between 2pm and 4pm with two ride tickets for the price of one on a single ride purchase, available on most rides!   Details will be at Sideshow Alley on those days.

Live from the Show

Tune into 92.7 Mix FM especially between 9am and 12 Noon on Friday to hear Todd and Sami's live outdoor broadcast from Van Diesel at the Showgrounds.

The dynamic-duo will do some roving interviews and deliver their hotly contested 'Great Show Bake-Off' with Cookery Steward Beverley Bradford judging this one-on-one grand championship ~ who will be the winner, Todd or Sami?

(There may also be an announcement by Show President Cr. Jenny McKay about some high profile attendees visiting the Showgrounds that day).

'Take the Cake' Competition

Don't forget to enter the 'Take the Cake' competition in the cookery section of the Main Pavilion by simply filling out your contact details with the name of your favourite cake.

Winning entry will receive a fabulous morning tea at Nambour's Husk and Honey, Grain-Free Gluten-Free Cafe.   While in the cookery section, look out for Lorinda Rogers of 'Ideas in Icing' who will again be making an appearance on Saturday and Sunday between 10am-3pm.
