A Queensland officer has been filmed helping one of the smallest constituents of his community - a koala - off the road after a near accident during early hours in Lockyer Waters.
Dashcam footage from Senior Constable Reid's car shows a vehicle in front braking and swerving to the opposite side of the road.
When the officer reaches the same spot, he finds a koala sitting in the middle of the road.
It's believed the marsupial was dazed by the first car's headlights.
Senior Constable Reid comes to a stop, flips on his lights and proceeds to shoo the animal to safety.
All in a day's work!
