Picnic Day at Maroochy Botanical Gardens
There were more than 450 people from various garden clubs gathered to share a picnic day and entertainment in the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens.
Clubs as south to the Gold Coast north to Maryborough and west to Esk joined the Sunshine Coast clubs for a great of friendship and fun .
They participated in Guided tours conducted by Friends of the Garden a volunteer group of devoted people, helping to maintain the beauty of the surrounds.
We were blessed with perfect weather, while listening to guest speakers and watching a floral art demonstrations or even just relaxing in the tranquillity of the surrounding scenery.
Lunch was a great success being entertained by the popular group, Boom Baby reviving the 60's music we all love, as well as the drawing of the monster raffle .
The raffle raised $1,260 which will go help with the development of the children's section of the garden called Whip Bird Walk In all a great day was had by those participated and yes there will be another one in two years.
The venue is still open and to be decided.
