A SUNSHINE Coast benefit concert for the wife and family of much-loved musician Phil Emmanuel has drawn some of Australia's finest entertainers.

Phil, who was based on the Coast, died in Parkes, New South Wales, on May 24 of a sudden asthma attack at age 65.

The fundraising event at Tewantin RSL at 7.30pm on June 22 will see a distinguished group of Phil's fellow musicians and friends come together to celebrate the life, music and times of one of Australia's favourite sons.

On the bill will be The Kevin Borich Express, The Tim Gaze Band, Doc Span, Shane Kells and Strange Brew, The Phil Emmanuel Band and Van Larkins.
