YOUR STORY: Health blow to cat rescuer
PEOPLE who know me know that I love cats and have been rescuing cats for quite some time now.
After five years with the Friends of the RSPCA group in Gladstone, I decided I wanted to move on and start my own rescue group.
Once in my care, all the cats and kittens are desexed, microchipped and have two vaccinations and their adoption fee is $150.
They are all treated for worms and fleas on a monthly basis and are brushed and have their nails clipped when needed.
My cats are free roaming in my large granny flat downstairs, which has a large cat enclosure attached for sunning themselves.
The important thing is to match a family or new owner to the right sort of cat that would suit their lifestyle.
A few weeks ago I was rushed to Rockhampton hospital with a body full of blood clots.
I had to rely on my wonderful husband and my wonderful friend, Christine, to take charge of the cats.
Now that I am home and have been ordered to rest for a month, my poor husband is still in charge of the cats.
I need to urgently adopt out half of my cats in order to comply with my doctors orders of slowing my life down.
So if you are searching for the purrfect feline companion for you and your family please consider adopting one of my angels.
I am also very grateful for any food or litter donations as they just never stop eating or eliminating.
