PHOTO OF THE DAY: Fishing at dawn on Shelly Beach

VOTE FOR TOMORROW'S AND MONDAY'S PHOTOS OF THE DAY

PEOPLE voting in our Photo of the Day poll had some great options to choose from yesterday, but N Ball's image of a fisherman at sunrise at the north end of Shelly Beach easily took the lion's share.

The beautiful image took a resounding 45% of the vote, well ahead of its nearest rival - a lovely picture of heart-shaped seeds from a stand of eucalyptus trees from Jeanne Bale - which picked up 25% of the vote.

Photo of the Day celebrates the beauty of the Northern Rivers and the photographic talent of its people.

As well as appearing here it is published on Page 2 of the newspaper and is used as the cover image on our Facebook page.

To submit an image for Photo of the Day, simply share it to our Facebook page.

WE have four images in the running for Photo of the Day for tomorrow and Monday.

As we are selecting two images, everyone gets two votes.

Have a look at the poll below and pick your two favourites. The image that receives the highest vote will be tomorrow's Photo of the Day. The image with the second-highest vote will be Monday's Photo of the Day.

Voting closes at noon.
