Pensioners feel pinch as pollies set themselves up for life
AUSTRALIA'S economy is 10 times the size of New Zealand's yet the New Zealand government can still afford to pay pensioners their pension from age 65 years and it is not means tested.
I understand retiring state MPs in Australia receive an annual pension of $100,000 and I wonder if this is means tested?
I'm sure if they were to receive the same pension as the Australian public are entitled, they would make damn sure it was a decent, liveable amount.
What happened to "leading by example"?
Have Australian MPs no conscience at all?
