'Pavarotti' comes to Robina with fun operatic show

FORMER Ten Tenor Roger Davy returns to the stage this month, bringing his much-loved portrayal of Pavarotti to the Robina Community Centre on the Gold Coast.

The two-hour show, Broadway to Pavarotti, will be held on October 29, and follows the success of the sold out Seniors Week concert.

The show celebrates the life of Pavarotti and takes you on a musical journey that includes the best of Broadway tunes to classic opera favourites.

It includes classic opera favourites from the Merry Widow, La Boheme, La Traviata and Rigoletto to the best of Broadway songs from shows like West Side Story, Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera and My Fair Lady.

Featuring three of Queensland most talented performers, Broadway to Pavarotti is more than a recital of old favourites. The show has a plot linking the songs and revealing the stories behind them.

Add to that, the light-hearted farce of the two tenors competing for the attention of the beautiful soprano and you have plenty of laughs and musical excellence.

A highlight of the performance will be the famous tribute to the all-time favourite, Pavarotti.

The concert will be held from 11am to 1.30pm on October 29, at the Robina Community Centre on the Gold Coast.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased from https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/broadway-to-pavarotti-show-tickets-27404075327.
